The Accommodation Association wants to provide the best possible range of services and products to our members. To achieve this, we need to make the most efficient use of your personal information. We believe that the privacy of members of the Accommodation Association is important and that you should be informed about how we deal with your information.

We are committed to ensuring that your personal information entrusted to us is treated with the appropriate degree of privacy. We are also committed to ensuring that the information we gather from you is not disclosed unnecessarily or unreasonably to third parties. 

Collecting Personal Information

The information requested on the membership application form, the website and any other requests by our organisation constitutes the entire information that we will collect about you. We do not collect information about our members from third parties. The information collected by us may be retained by us even if the application is refused or once your membership has been cancelled.

If all questions on membership application forms are not completed entirely, we may not be able to assess your application properly and we will be entitled to refuse your application without further notice. 

The information you provide will be used to assess your application for membership and to facilitate membership once it is accepted.

We will not provide any of your personal information to any person or organisation other than an industry partner of the Accommodation Association or as requested by Government Departments.

Otherwise we will not disclose information about you unless the disclosure:

  • Is required by law
  • Is authorised by law or
  • You have consented to our disclosing the information about you

Personal Information Quality

We aim to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. To assist us with this, please provide current and accurate information about yourself. In the event any information is inaccurate or incomplete, please contact us and we will use all reasonable effort to correct the information.

Securing Your Personal Information 

We are committed to maintaining the security and confidentiality of the data you provide us and we will take all reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from use or alteration. 

The computer network and data are electronic password protected. 

Accessing Your Personal Information

You can ask us to provide you with access to all personal information that we hold about you. If we are able, we will give you that access.

If we refuse your request for access, we will give you the reason for that refusal. In no case will you have to pay a fee to apply to access personal information. 

Information required to be collected by Law

No information we collect is required to be collected by law. 

Changes to this Statement

This Privacy Statement is not a static document; we may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time for any reason. We will publish these changes on our website.

Commercial Electronic Messages

As a member you agree to receive commercial electronic messages from the Accommodation Association and the Accommodation Association partners unless you advise the Accommodation Association in writing that you do not wish to do so.
